My Chandelier Make Over & Gingers

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well, I finally got the chandelier done today! For
those of you that didn't see the picture of it before,
it was just brass...I waited a few days for the paint
to dry good before I put the "Rub & Buff" on it...I
was going to paint it pewter and put some black
"Rub & Buff " on it, but I guess it doesn't come in
that color....So, I decided to paint it black and put
silver on it...I like how it turned out, I need to find
some new candle sleeves, but for now, the old ones
will have to do....I wanted to take down that light
fixture, that I didn't like, as soon as I could! Anyway,
I put the silver on where I thought it would look
good and made the pip berry rings. I have a couple
longs strands of pip berries that I have been taking
some off of, for here and there, so I put 3 pieces
together to make a ring....I see they could use a little
playing with, but they are ok, for now. It only takes
a little silver on a rag to highlight what you want...
It looks so much better than that cheap brushed
nickel thing that was hanging there before! I would
say that I have about $30 or less, in it! Whoo hoo!
I still haven't posted the goodies I have been finding,
but that will have to wait until another day...
I started collecting gingerbreads, here and there and
I don't have many, but I sure think they are cute....I have
a few hanging on the cabinet door knobs and some others,
but these are my favorites....
Well, this is all for tonight,
come back again, I will post
another bear, or two, for
"Meet a Bear Monday"....
..I have been posting them
late on Monday nights....
So, until next time...
  3. I just got the same chandelier (already painted black) off of craigslist last week for $25. Now I can't wait to hang it. Yours looks great! Thanks for sharing. I was thinking about dipping my bulbs in scented silicone to give them a softer look. What do you think?
