One can of pumpkin is enough to make two
pumpkin rolls.

Pumpkin Roll
Cream together:
3 eggs
1 C sugar
Fold in:
2/3 C pumpkin
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice
3/4 C flour

Pour into well greased cookie sheet
with edges, 10" x 15"

Bake at 375 deg. for 15 min.
Remove from oven and roll in a towel
sprinkled with powdered sugar
and let cool completely.

Unroll and spread with filling, reroll and
place seam side down.

You can sprinkle a little bit of powdered
sugar on top, if desired.

Picture of Fireplace

Hello everyone, I posted the
wrong pic of the fireplace, so
here is how it looks.

The houses are on there, that I got
from Lorna....To the right of the
fireplace, are two more Warren
Kimble prints.....I forgot to take a
picture of my window sill in the kitchen,
I have some Fall decorations in there,
also....
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me
such sweet comments!
Until next time....

Bear Hugs~Karen

I finally am getting around to post
my decorating for Fall....I thought I
had better get it done before I
decorate for Christmas, which is
coming on FAST!  I am not going to
decorate for Christmas, until after
Thanksgiving weekend....

This is on the little hutch that we made
to cover the gas heater.  I got the bear
tea light holder awhile back at the flea
market.  I know it isn't prim, but I am
a bear collector, as you all know.

I got the big spray of leaves, pinecones
and pods at a garage sale, in fact, I got
two of them and this one covers the
electrical outlet.

I bought this stuff in a bowl in a bag,
when I got home with it, I discovered
that it is all fake!  Smelled good for
awhile....I will have to add some scent
to it....

This is all on the dining room table, I
keep having to move it back, when I
want to take pictures  of something
else....

I have shown this picture of the fireplace,
before...

The hutch, that I made over....It has the
pumpkins and an angel, that I got from
Beryl, of Southern Blessings, in a swap.

A close up of the bear with the pumpkins..

I received some bittersweet from my MIL,
but I decided not to put it out, because
Chum gets into EVERY THING!   He
has been tearing up plants, sleeping in the
top of one, too....I thought I had better
keep the bittersweet packed up, even
though I wanted to put some up on the
fireplace, which is pretty high....I figured
he would jump on the big crock, on the
hearth, and get up there.  He is a little
stinker!
Well, I need to get outside and get some
of my make overs painted, the weather
has been, either cold or rainy, since I got
it all sanded.

Be on the lookout for a give away!
Thanks for stopping by....

Friday Unfinishes....

Hello everyone, I hope you all have
a great weekend planned.
I am going to the Fall Festival at
the state park, tomorrow.  It starts
today, but I am waiting for my hubby
to go with me.

I thought I would show you all what I
got sanded on Wednesday.  Here are
my unfinished projects.

It rained yesterday, so I didn't get
anything painted, but maybe this
weekend. The magazine rack is going to
be painted black, the bread box is going
to be red or mustard over black, I think.
The cutting boards, that the bread box is
sitting on, are big one....I might put some
stain on one and leave the other one like
it is.  The thinner one almost covers my
stove top.  I need to find my tack cloth,
to clean all the saw dust off of these things.

I put the wooden tray on top of the old
bucket and it fits pretty good, so I think
I will take the plastic legs off and sand
it up some more and use it for a lid.
What do you think?  Any suggestions on
what color to paint it?  It has holes in the
bottom of it, because it had legs on it, at
one time, for keeping sewing in, I
presume.

Well, that is it for today, I need to get
to the store for some food.

Have a great weekend!

Old Cars and Treasures

Good Evening...
I took some pictures of some old
cars in Texas, on the way
back home.....My hubby said these
are Metropolitans...They remind me
of the old Nash Rambler,

 that my sister had, once...They
are out in a field with several horses.
You never know what you will find in
Texas!

I have a few things to show you, that
I got, recently...

I bought this huge rolling pin in an
antique mall on the way back, on
Monday.  I put a regular sized one
with it, so you can see just how big it
is!  If you read my last post, you know
that my hubby wanted to know if I
was going to use it on him!

I found this old ammo box at the flea
market....You know I am collecting old
boxes ;)

I got the cornucopia at GW and I got the
gingerbread doll at the same flea
market, that I got the box at, but a few
weeks ago.  I have more things, but I
forgot to include them in the pictures.

Be watching for some make overs, I have
several things that I want to get painted. It
looks like it is going to be nice, tomorrow,
so I better get at it!  Also, be watching for
a give away!  I haven't decided what it will
be, yet.....hmmmm...It might be a
combination of things, cloth, wood,
Christmas or Winter,
handmade, or made over....But, I
will be showing you, in the next couple
weeks and telling you how you can win!
Maybe, we will play Bingo...Maybe, I will
wait until I get to 200 followers, I am
getting close!

Until next time...

Ornie # 4 and # 5

Hello everyone!
I thought I had better get
on here and post ornie # 4 and 5,
that Brenda, of the Rusty Thimble
is giving away, as part of her 12
ornament give away!  She is one
generous person!

So, if you haven't signed up
to win her fantastic, handmade
ornies, what ya waiting for?
Click here to go to her blog....

I have been gone, we went to work
on our house, in Texas.....Time if
flying by and we want to get some
things done, before it gets too cold.
We just got back, this afternoon and
I have a lot of things to do, around
here....I can tell ya one thing, Chum
does not like riding in the van!  He
will have to get used to it, though.

I have been reading blogs, tonight and
it looks like shops are having open
houses earlier, every year.  It goes from
Halloween, straight to Christmas!  I
guess it doesn't matter, as fast time
seems to be flying by, it will only seem
like 3 weeks and Christmas will be
up on us!

I hope you all had a great weekend, I
know I would have rather gone to the
flea market, instead of raking  leaves!

Last weekend, when I was at the flea
market, I got an old ammo box, that I
will post and today, I got an old rolling
pin.  Let me tell ya, it is huge!  My
hubby asked if I was buying it to use on
him!  LOL....I told him that I would
never do that to him...(I think that made
him feel better about carrying it to the
van)....LOL....Still makes me chuckle!

Well, that is it for me, tonight....

Until next time~

Decorating With Nature

Hello everyone....

I thought I would show you a couple
pictures of our outside decorating,
compliments of Mother Nature!

We had a rain storm and man, the
needles came down off the pine trees!
Hubby gets on the mower and mows
them into rows, like this and then he
picks them up and burns them in the
fire pit.  This is just part of the back
yard...He got most of them cleaned up
and it rained again, and down came some
more!  I know he will be glad when he
doesn't have to do all the yard work, he
will be able to sit inside and read. He
likes the yard to look nice, so between
the pine needles, pine cones and other
things that fall, it keeps him busy!
We have 17 pine trees, that are about
40 ft. tall, around the yard, they are
good shade trees, but are pretty messy!

I guess I had better go dust, so I can
show you all, what little indoor Fall
decorating, I have done, before I
have to start decorating for Christmas!
It is hard to believe, that Christmas is
not far off, it just cooled off, here!

Welcome to my new followers!

Until next time...
