Bathroom Make Over

Hello everyone, I hope you are having
a great week!  I thought I would show
you all my bathroom make over.  I really
like all the wood, but it was
blah, blah, blah!
So, I decided it needed some something
done to it, so I got to work on it.  I made a
shower curtain to cover the ugly chrome
shower doors and I got out the black paint!

Before, looking in from the door.

The little cabinet just blends in
with the wall....

Now, the cabinet, just stands out!

Before...

I didn't like the brushed nickel towel
bar and ring, so we took them out and
we are going to replace the light above
the mirror....I found one I like, I just
haven't gotten it, yet.  I did get shaggy
tan colored rugs for in front of the sink
and toilet. Real thick ones, that feel good
on your toes!   I painted the toilet tissue
cover on the back of the toilet and the
red chest on the counter.

After...

New towel ring....The shelf above the
toilet, I had for quite awhile with the
intention of putting it to the left of the
door, but decided it would look good
where it is....It was white....I made the
little scarf on the toilet and hanging
on the peg rack out of material left over
from making the shower curtain.  The
crow is from Pam, from Prims in a small
town....I have a little hanging sign, that I
won from Willow Bend Prims, that I put
between the the crow and scarf, since I
took the pictures. It says "crows" on it.

Towel ring...

I painted the inside of the shelf, so I
could take out the drawer to display more
prims, later on....
The shower curtain looks blue and white in
this picture, but it is actually black and tan...
I have a granite soap dish with a cup holder
around here, some place that I am going to
put in there, just need to find out which box
I put it in, first......I hope you all enjoyed the
tour of the bathroom!  I had fun changing
it....Let's see, what can I do, next?  I want
to do the kitchen, but that might have to wait
awhile, we'll see :)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Until next time....

Meet a Bear Monday

Hello Blogging Buddies, it's Monday
again and time to meet another bear.
Today you get to meet Mrs. Dixon,
the last of the Civil War bears that
I have......She is the mate to Dixon
the Confederate Soldier...

Here she is wearing her cute plaid
dress with cream colored trim and
her red checked apron, which matches
Dixon's shirt....She has pantaloons
and an underskirt, made of muslin
like Mrs. Mason is wearing.

Picture from behind, showing her shawl.

A close up of her cute face....

Her and Dixon, together...What a
cute couple!

Here are all four of them together...
I hope you enjoyed seeing my Civil War

the house and choose which one I will
be posting next...

Thanks for stopping by and a big
"thank you"
to those who have recently signed on to
follow my blog!  I have lots of things to

Gardenia

Hello Prim Friends!
I was doing tips on Thursdays but
I don't know if anybody was
really that interested in them, so
I thought I might still
post them once in awhile, and do
pictures that I have taken,
here and there....This one is of a
Gardenia blossom that I took,
on a plant, that I got from my Mom's
place.....I have had it for several years
and it just bloomed, last summer.....
I hope it does better this year, last
year it only had 3 blossoms...It almost
died one winter, so I am lucky to
still have it!

I have lots of pictures that I can share
with you all, from sky pictures, to
barns and flowers.....

Until next time~

My Bingo Winnings

Hello Prim Pals....

I thought I would show y'all what
I got from Willow Bend Prims
for winning Bingo
awhile back...
TJ sent me all this neat stuff
sitting on the little table
cover!  I know where some of it
is going....The crow sign is going in
the bathroom, that I have been
working on, (beside a stuffed one
that I got from Pam)
the framed flag is going in my
patriotic room, and the plate on
the stand is going on my little
hutch.  I am sure I will find a place
for the rest of it!  Thanks, TJ, I
really do love it all!

If you haven't been, check out TJ's
blog,  Willow Bend Prims and
while you are there,
check out the Prim Pal's Forum...

The weather has been great, so I need
to get outside and plant some more
flowers, do some sewing and get
something else done around here.

I hope y'all are having a great week!

Until next time~

Meet a Bear Monday

Hello, bear lovers, it is time for
"Meet a Bear Monday"
Tonight you get to meet "Dixon"
in his Confederate Civil War uniform...
His uniform was designed by an expert
in Civil War clothing and is made to look
like what they actually wore...He has a
red checked shirt on where as Mason's
shirt was muslin....These bears are from
Gettysburg, PA, where the big ol' Boyd's
bear barn is....If you love bears, you will
have to make a trip there, the barn is
huge, and full of bears!

A close up so you can see the top
of his hat...

And one with his jacket open more so
you can see his suspenders....
These bears were for sale at the barn,
then after a year, dealers could sell
them....I was lucky enough to get all
four of them, Mason, Dixon and their
mates....
Next Monday, I will show you Mrs.
Dixon and then the pair, together.

Thanks for stopping by for "Meet
A Bear Monday"......

Until next time....

Meet a Bear Monday

Hello bear lovers, it's time to
meet another bear....Tonight it
is Mrs. Mason, she is the wife to
the Union soldier from last week.
She has beautiful blue eyes and is
wearing a dress made from a
Civil War print and a blue apron.
Under her dress, she is wearing an
underskirt and pair of pantaloons.
She has a brown shawl to ward off
the chill and on top of her head,
she is wearing black and white lace.

These outfits are authentic to what
the women of the 1860's would be
wearing.

A close up of her cute little face....

Her underskirt and pantaloons...

And a picture of her and Mason...

Next Monday, I will show you Dixon
in his Confederate uniform...

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you
enjoyed my bears....

Until next time...

My 2nd Give Away!

This is a repost of one I did on March 29th...
I announced a give away with my "Meet
a Bear Monday" and I guess most of you
missed it!  I have over 100 followers and
I hit 100 posts, so I posted this bear that
was for the Teddy Bear's 100th anniversary.
I guess I shouldn't have posted them together.

If you did catch it, the first time around,
you will be entered and you won't have
to leave a comment, again....Thank you
to those who did....

This is the original post, below:
A hint for the give away...It is not one of my bears!

Meet a Bear Monday and a Surprise Give Away!
Well, it is late Monday night and time
for "Meet a Bear Monday".......
...Tonight I would like you to meet
"Theodore" he is quite a cutie, and one
of my nekked, Boyds bears! He's a big
boy at 16" tall....He is named after
Theodore Roosevelt and was put out
for the 100th anniversary of the teddy
bear. His tag is signed by the someone
big at Boyds, might even be the designer,
and is a limited edition. He even has his
own little book...."My Diary The First
100 Years".....I have a lot of bears, most
of them are dressed up, but I think he has
to be high on my list of favorites. I had lots
of dolls when I was little, but I don't think
I had a teddy bear...Well, I have some now!

On with the surprise give away! Not only
is Theodore for the 100th anniversary,
this is my 100th post! So, in celebration
of it, I am going to give something away,
I can't say what it will be, it might be
made of wood, metal, fabric, or something
I have found in an antique mall.....Maybe
a combination of any of the above, or
something I have painted....
It will be revealed on the day of the
drawing! You might have seen a clue
on one of my previous posts....Or maybe
not!

The rules are simple:
You must be a follower of my blog....
   (New ones are welcome)

Please post about this give away on your
blog to get the word out...

You must post a comment on this post
and only this post to be entered....(that
way I don't have to go hunting through
all the posts to find ya!)

You must live in the USA...

Well, I hope I have you all curious!

I know a lot of people dread April 15th,
so, let's make that day something to look
forward to....So, I will show you all what it
is, and have the drawing on April 15th...

    Until next time~

Stormy Sky

Hello Bloggin' Buddies...I have been looking
through some of my pictures, that I have
saved and I came across this one to share...
It was storming and I ran out the door,
looked up and took the picture and ran
back in the house....This was taken in Texas
a few years ago with my older camera.
It is amazing what you can capture with a
quick click!

Have a great day!

Meet a Bear Monday

Hello, everyone, it is Monday
again and time to meet another
bear...He is from Boyd's....
Since this is April, and the Civil
War started in April, I thought I
would post my Civil War Bears.
This is "Mason" and he is dressed in
a Civil War uniform, for the Union.
I think the dealers could sell them,
only after they had been out a year.
Otherwise, you had to get them at
the big barn in Gettysburg....
They had an expert on Civil
War clothing, design the outfits for
the uniforms, plus the outfits for the
Mrs, that goes along with them.  Next
week, I will show you Mrs. Mason.

On his foot it says
"Exclusive Civil War Edition"...

A close up of his face....You can't
tell it in the photos, but he is wearing
a button up the front, muslin shirt and
he has suspenders, to hold up his pants.
His jacket is navy blue, where as the
Confederate soldier's is gray. I have
all four of them and they all sit on a
wooden bench in the living room...
I love these bears!

I hope you bear lovers out there, like
these bears, as much as I do....

Until next time~
