A Wedding in the Park

I thought this was a beautiful place for a wedding!

I don't know who was getting married, but it was
going to be a nice night to get married at the river.
I assume the bride would come down these stairs...

Bluff across the river....What a beautiful place to
start a marriage! May they have many happy
years together!

Hope you enjoyed these pictures!

More Pictures in the Park~

Here's some more pictures I took in the park,
yesterday....It is really nice out there to walk
and enjoy the wild life as long as it doesn't include
any snakes! I didn't see any and that is a GOOD
thing!

Old hollow tree, back in the woods

Tree roots growing on top of the ground

The creek we crossed over

Farther down the creek and on the other side

We had to cross over the creek on some
stones and it is hard to keep your balance
on slanted rocks that are wet, but we got
across. I got one foot wet on the way back
across. The trail we took, goes back in there
quite a ways, it's over a mile long. We went
over bridges, logs, down steep slants, over
roots and lots of rocks! You have to watch
where you are putting your feet at all times.
Plus, you have to be on the lookout for snakes!
It's a lot of exercise, I can tell ya that, we were
out there walking for two hours and I was
getting hot before we got back to the van....
Hope you enjoy the pictures, I took a lot of
them, but I won't post them all....It would
take all night!

Hope everyone had a great weekend~

Our Walk At The Park~

* * * * * * * * * * * *
Good Evening All....

I thought I would post a few pictures of the
state park, here in my park of Oklahoma...
I like this picture of the lake....

This is the river that runs into the lake and
this picture was taken another time...The
river was just like a mirror, that day!

The river... (below) I used this one as wallpaper on
my computer for awhile...

We really enjoy walking in the state park, here.
I took these pictures last year and I am looking
forward to the trees turning, which won't happen
until late October or early November....So, I will
wait and post more later....I didn't have my
camera, wish I did because there were two deer
close to one of the roads! I could almost touch
them from the van.....We saw lots of squirrels out
and about and even saw crows walking around
on the ground. It is so nice and peaceful out
there. Lots of people were camping....We are
going back out next weekend to grill something
and walk and take pictures and just enjoy the
outdoors.

Hope ya'll have had a great weekend~

The Bears & My Patriotic Room~

**************************************
Good day to everyone, hope you all are having a great
week and thanks for stopping by. I would like to share
with you all, my "Patriotic Room" and some of my bears.
I have many more, they are all over the living room
and in the computer room....I said on another post that
I would show some pictures of my home. I have always
had antiques, but I am just getting more "Prim." I love
the way everyone decorates their homes and that has
inspired me to do more....But, I don't think all the bears
I have, fit in with it all, but I don't want to get rid of them.
You can't see the whole room, but this gives you an idea
of how I decorated the whole house in Texas when I was
there. I got tired of red/white/blue all over the house....
The living room is red, the trim and mantel is soft white
and the tab curtains are navy blue....I never thought
I would get tired of it, but I did, so here it is mostly all
in the spare bedroom....I really enjoy the pictures that
everyone posts of their homes, so thought I would share
a part of mine with ya all today......I have a border to
put up and some pictures to hang....
Hope you enjoy it!

Hope ya all have a great day!

My Little Prim Hutch

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello, blogging buddies, it's time to show the
hutch that I finally got finished enough to show!
I painted it two coats of black, then I got a color
that I didn't really like for it .....So then bought
"Cinnamon" and painted a coat and all I could
see was mauve, it had too much pink in it! Well,
then I got out my acrylics and added some brown
and gold color to it and now I like it. I think I will
have to move the picture above, it can only go up
an inch or so because there is a shelf above, full
of primitives! I will show more pictures of my
house on another post.
After....Or....Now you see it, now you don't,
Goodbye heater! Soon we might want to
use the heater, but I don't like using it.
I might put a stain over top, it did not sand
like it was dry enough, so I am going to wait
for it to dry good. It looks a little pink in the
picture, but it looks better in person..
Until next time~
Things I Bought
Good Morning All...First I would like to thank
the new ones who signed on to join me on my blog,
Welcome, I am glad to make new blogging buddies!
This is going to be short, I just wanted to show the
things I got, yesterday. I bought the sheep, pineapple
and the wooden bucket. I might have a crock lid that
will fit it, if not I know we can make one. I don't
know what color I am going to paint the bucket, but
it won't be the color I put on the hutch, that's for sure!
I did paint the hutch again, so next I am going to take the
sander to it...then, just maybe, I might show it....It
just might get another coat of paint and that would
be???
Well, that's all for now....
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
We Must Never Forget
We must never forget this day in 9/11/2oo1....For a video
tribute, click on Painting Thyme Needfuls on the side
and to read something beautiful that Kath wrote,
click on The Olde Weeping Cedar, she sure has a way
with words. We must always remember, even if we
didn't lose friends, coworkers, or loved ones that day.
My husband, still to this day, wears a flag pin in memory
of those lost that fateful day. Always tell those you
love, that you love them and give them a hug, because
you never know when it might be the last time!
And More Crocks!
Good Afternoon, hope everyone is having a great
day! I took some more pictures of my crock
collection for ya'll to see.....This is about all of
them, there are still a few here and there, plus
a butter churn....I think I need to quit collecting
them, every time I dust! But they give my home
the feel that I like....I have always thought that
I live in the wrong century, I should have been
living in the late 1800's! But then, only if I was
rich! With my luck, I would have been a scullery
maid!
I enjoy collecting and going out to places
to find it all....Once in awhile you have to say
"Where am I going to put it when I get it home?"
That question helps you walk off from something
you think is cute, rustic, or primitive that you
think you need, which you really don't! We buy
more little things and not furniture because we
don't have the room.....But I might find a piece
of furniture, one of these days, that I like better
than something I have, then I will have to sell
one to make room for it. I have an old Hoosier
type cabinet at my house in Texas that I would
like to bring up here, but I would have to take
my red china cabinet back down there, or sell it...
Decisions, decisions....I don't want to sell either
one of them....On with the pictures....I hope this
will post like I have it.....
Bench in dining room....The brown crock is
actually an ice bucket!
Crock Bench going into the kitchen...
Crocks on the left side of the fireplace...
I need to go finish the hutch...
That is what I will try to get done
this afternoon, if I can do something
with the color I got....It's cinnamon
and it looks kind of mauve over the
black! I think I will add some brown
or gold to the paint to see how it turns out.
Hope you all are having a great week!
Crocks & Pottery
Crocks and Pottery I have collected...
I thought I would show you all a couple pictures of some of
my crocks I collected....I have them all over the house and
I will show you more, later, I better dust them first! This
huge one is a Westerwald and it was sent to me from Germany.
The other picture shows some in the dining room, there are
two more shelves of crocks that you can not see in the picture.
I will take more pictures after I clean up the mess from making
curtains, I still have some to make....I don't know why the
pictures came out side by side, might not be that way when
I publish this post.... I ended up losing a picture and had to
go upload it again, then it spread out the lines with space
between.....This thing is crazy!
I will be painting the hutch tomorrow, I bought
paint today, geeze I could look at samples for an
hour! I got the paint mixed that we chose, but I
got more samples for paint for the walls. There
is too much trim in this house and since it is open,
the living room, dining room, kitchen and hall will
all have to be done the same....That means taping
off and painting along all the base boards and the
crown moulding....Sounds like a lot of work to me!
I think I might just keep this too yellow color that
was in here when we bought the house...We moved
in the winter, so I didn't want to paint then....And
I don't think I want to paint now....Now that I think
about it! Hope you all are having a great week!
