Hey everyone, I just want
to show you a couple pics that
I took on Christmas.  We got
some thunder boomers in the
night on Christmas Eve, it
rained until about 2pm and then
it started snowing! We have had
little snow since we moved here
and this was the first "White
Christmas" I have had in years!

We got a lot more than it
shows in this picture.

Here's Chum in his favorite
spot, checking out the snow, I
think this is the first time he
has seen it.....This was taken
before the first picture.....He
doesn't like to be outside, if it
is hot or cold, he likes it just
right! Sound familiar?  Hubby
opened the back door and asked
him if he wanted to go out, he
could feel the cold air and there
was no way he was going out!

I want to wish you all a
"Happy New Year".....

May you all have good health,
happiness & prosperity in the
coming year!

I may, or may not keep posting,
we shall see....

Hey everyone, thought I would
pop on here and let you all know
that I am still around.  I have
really been busy and running
here and there, the craft show
and all, really had me busy!  I
did make it to Berlin, Ohio for
a little while, really needed to
stay for a whole weekend, but
had other plans.

I did get some great pictures
that I will share with you all,
later.  I tell ya what, I do not
want to go to Wooster, again
without a map!

Well, I have some things to get
finished and sent out.

I have been seeing all your
wonderful decorating and you are
all awesome!  I haven't even put
the tree up, yet.  I have a hard
time mustering up Christmas spirit,
anymore.....So, I guess I had better
check out some more of your
Christmas decor! ...lol....I am sure
that will help!

I hope everyone had a safe
Halloween.....October just
flew by and I have been
crafting, snowmen, scarecrows,
prairie dolls, pumpkins, Santas,
signs, gingerbread men and
sifter arrangements, painting
dust pans and welcome signs....
I made pillows  from a chenille
bedspread.  I need to finish the
things that I have in the works
and get them marked, then onto
rug hooking for several days.
Time is running out, the festival
is next week. I will leave you
all with a picture of one of the
dust pans, that I painted,
yesterday.  I think I like painting
on dust pans, I did this winter
scene and a Fall scene, both
 Terrye French designs.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope
you all are having a great week!

Now that I look at the picture, I think
it looks like the wall is bowed, maybe
it is because of the wave in the tin.
I will have to check it out and change
that, l can't have a house with a bow,
even if it is supposed to be an old
saltbox!......lol....

I hope you all are safe from the
storm.

Until next time.....

Hey everyone, I intended on
posting about some goodies I
have found, but thought I would
show you what I am working on.
I got accepted in the Big Fall
Festival at Beavers Bend State
Park! It is one hard show to get
into, since there is only so much
room, plus it is juried. These are
the pictures that I sent in to be
looked at....As you can see, I did
not tea stain the dolls and dresses,
since I don't know if anyone,
around here, would like them done
that way. I do plan on having both.

I made these pumpkins from a
chenille bedspread.

I made these santas from a pattern
from Sandy of the Old Country Cupboard,
the doll pattern is a freebie from her, also.

The Raggedy Andy is my 2nd project
at rug hooking, not sure if I am going
to make him into a pocket, purse or a
pillow, yet. All 3 of my projects are of
my own design.....He ended up being
finished after my 2nd ruglet, though.

As some of you may know, the ruglet
on the left is my first project....I may
have you confused, I was working on the
ruglet on the right at the same time as
the Andy face......I still need to put a
binding on them and they will be finished.
I have been ironing material and cutting
out aprons this afternoon and I can tell
ya that I am too slow! It is a good thing
that the festival is not until November!
I think it is late for a Fall festival, but
some of the trees still have their color
and it is beautiful in the park!

Well, I need to get back to work and
get something done!

Thanks for stopping by and a special
thank you to those who took the time
to tell me that they missed me, I really
do appreciate it, so much!

Even though we probably didn't know
anyone, who died on September 11th,
we shall always remember.....My hubby
wears a flag on his shirt to work, every
day in memory of those who lost their
lives on that awful morning.

I will be back to posting some things
I am working on and some treasures.
Did anybody miss me?

Keeping Busy!

The time is sure flying by! I hope you
all are staying cool in this heat! I have
been working on a couple of projects
that I am hooking, but I will show you
pictures of that, later on.

We have had to go to our house
in Texas to work on cleaning up the
trees that we had cut. We had most
of the brush done and we still had
the tree trunks to burn.  We found
another dead tree on the half acre,
with the house, that makes 12 trees
dead on the half acre and there are
a lot of dead ones on the acre behind.

I took some pictures on the way back
and I thought I would share with you
some of them.

I have found some treasures, that
I will share with you all, soon.

I would also like to thank you all
for the wonderful comments
on my patriotic decorating, outside.
I did intend on decorating on the
inside, but that never happened.

Until next time.....

Adding More To The Yard

Good Afternoon, friends! I hope
you all are having a great week...
I remembered my Uncle Sam
and my rusty flag, so I put them
out front with the rest of my
Americana things.

I like Uncle Sam up on the
top, the cloth flag just didn't
seem right.

The flag doesn't show up very
well on the brick, I probably
should have painted it, but I
I bet my prim friends like it
the way it is. ;)
If you missed the previous
post, please scroll on down
for some more pictures.

I would like to welcome my
newest followers! Thank you
for following, I hope you
enjoy it!

Until next time~

My Patriotic Yard

Good afternoon, friends!

I have been busy decorating outside
and I did have it done yesterday, but
I didn't take pictures until evening
and I had lots of shadows, so I wanted
to take more today. I had it all decked
out for Flag Day and now until at least
the 4th of July.

I love all the shadows on the wall,
don't you?

We made the big wooden thing between
the windows, from two old weathered
pallets.

The bird house has a green and white
license plate on it and I want hubby
to replace it with a Texas one that is
white with red and it may have a little
blue on it.

The pictures, below I took a little bit
ago....I put the star on the wall on the
wood, with the single flag, but you
could barely see it, so I put it on the
brick, where you can see it a little
better.

I painted the bird yesterday, it had been
on the chain link fence and had faded
so I painted her and made her a nest in
the old chippy milk can. One of my best
friends gave me the little flag and this is
the first time I have been able to hang
it out.

Old coal bucket, thought I would
paint it some time, but decided that
the wavy sides would not work too
well for a folk art scene.

Well, I hope you all like my patriotic
front yard, I enjoyed decorating it!
Thanks to my hubby for his work on
putting the wood together, (I did help)
without it, I couldn't have had all the
fun decorating!

One thing I would like to say is that a
lot of us love our flag and country, the
way it is! We don't need to change it,
from what our fore fathers wanted it
to be, so I say if you don't like it, you
are welcome to leave!  There are lots of
other countries on this earth that
might suit you a little better! We also
need to go by the Constitution! If you
agree with me, spread it around! We
need to fight for our country with
words! Remember this, when
November gets here,  we have the
right to vote and change the direction
that OUR country is headed!

Until next time~

I'm Still Around!

Hey everyone, I haven't fallen off the
map, I have just been busy. I have
been to Texas, to our house a few times
and I keep bringing back more
things to sell at the antique mall.
I am on a mission to get rid of a lot
of stuff! Sorting, cleaning and pricing,
has kept me
busy, plus I work at the antique mall,
besides taking care of the booth. I don't
remember if I said, that we had a lot of
dead trees in our yard, from the drought,
last summer. Of course, we couldn't tell
until the leaves started coming on.
Well, we had 11, just on
the half acre the house is sitting on
and I don't have any idea how many on the
acre of woods, behind the house. They don't
really matter, though. We are not the
only ones with a lot of dead trees.
Well, I went down and a tree service cut
7 of them and we will do the rest
of them..........fun, fun, fun....

I have gotten some goodies while out and
about and I thought you might like to see
some of them.

I got the old bonnet in an antique mall
some place, can't remember where. I got
the old wooden bowl in a store that had
been closed up and it was open one
weekend. You couldn't even get around
in the store, there was a path down the
middle and that was it! The creamer,
plate and cups go to the set of blue and
white dishes, I have been collecting.
Here's the plate, they are "Historical
Ports of England" and the plates, bowls,
bread plates, saucers have different
scenes for the different ports.

This one doesn't go with the set, but
I had to have it. This is the "Mayflower"
and it goes well with my other dishes.

I found this hooked foot stool, in a
little town, on the way back home on
one of the trips.

I won this cute bunny and it came some
time, last month. I am amiss for not posting
this wonderful win, sooner! I now have two
bunnies in the house. :) Not much for
decorating, huh?  Anyway, I won it from
Darlene of Three D Style, she makes some
wonderful things, so click here to go
check out her blog and get entered for
her May giveaway!  I just loved this
bunny the moment I saw it! Thanks
again, Darlene!

I will leave you with a couple pictures
of my big boy posing.... I even got one
of him yawning, guess he was getting
bored with me taking pictures of him!
He is sitting on a table made from an
old treadle sewing machine, which is
his perch to look out the windows of
the French doors to see what is
happening on the patio and in the
back yard.

Oh, before I forget, I was lucky to
receive a wonderful new magazine
called"Romantic Prairie Style"
from Brenda of Pine Tree Prims,
just by being the first one
to say I would like to have it!
Thanks again,  Brenda, I love it! If
you see it at the store, check it out!

That's it for tonight, hope you all
missed me!...lol...

I have a plan to decorate my yard and all
for the Summer, so I will try to get that
done, soon. Then I will share pictures of
it all with you.

Thanks for stopping by and for those
of you that take the time to leave me
a comment, I really appreciate it and
love hearing from you all.

Until next time, I hope you all have
a safe holiday weekend!
