Things in the Mail

Hi, everyone...
I received some goodies in the
mail this month and I thought I would
share more of it, with you.

First of all, I won Audrey's first
give away on 1840 House...Thank
you Audrey, you are very generous!
These are
all the wonderful things that I
received from her. I am going to make
something to hang the bonnet on, since
I don't have a hat stand.  I thought I
would post all these things after I got
it done, but that will take too long. If
you would like to go to Audrey's blog,
click on the picture on my sidebar.

I also received these nice gifts from my
friend, Midge in England!  That was so
sweet and thoughtful, of her.....And she
made the tote and the pin to wear!
Thanks so much, my dear friend!
Click here to go to her blog!  I am going
to do all I can do, this year, to make sure
that I can go to England to meet Midge!
I have always wanted to go there and now
I am going to do my best, to get there!

I bought a bunch of things from Sandy,
of The Olde Country Cupboard, and
she sent me these tarts and and a large
bottle of room spray, Amish Quilt and
it all smells so good!  Thanks so much,
Sandy!  You are so sweet for doing this.

Well, I have to say "Happy New Year"
to all my friends! I hope the new year
brings you much happiness, prosperity
and good health!

Until next year~

Treasure Hunting

Hello, friends...

First of all, I would like to thank
all of you for stopping by my blog
and leaving me such nice comments
on my Christmas decor....I really do
appreciate it, so much!  I have made
some wonderful friends, through the
year and I am looking forward to
making more in the coming year!

Time is just flying by, it is hard to
believe that it is almost the
New Year, already!  I said that I
would post some of the goodies, I
bought awhile back, so here are some
of them.

I bought the blue apron and basket in
Kansas, when I went there  for
Thanksgiving.  I thought
that I would paint the basket, but I
think it looks good hanging with the
apron, so I am going to leave it the
way it is. It is a good thing that I did
get the apron, because it was in with
some dishes I bought for my set. Well,
Chum pulled the bag off the table and
they hit the floor and the apron saved
them from being broken. Saved Chum
from the dog house, too!

I got these goodies on the table at an
estate sale in Arkansas....We were just
over the state line....The gameboard is
painted on canvas over wood and framed.
I have one just about like it, but hubby
wanted it, so we got it....The sugar and
creamer go with my set of dishes, that I'll
show you all, soon. The saucer does not,
but I bought it anyway. I have a lot of
small white pitchers and they look cute
sitting in saucers. I will show you all
them, too one of these days....I have a lot
of collections, that I will start sharing,
plus make overs.

I got these goodies, right after the estate
sale, I got these at Goodwill....I am going
to sand off the cow and paint something else
on the rolling pin and I plan to paint the
silver bucket.  The wooden bucket is an
ice bucket, I don't know if I am going to
paint it, or not....Let's see what kind of
mood I am in when I get the paint out.

I need to stay home.....I bought a swan
the other day and a wooden gingerbread
man....I thought I would put the swan in
a dough bowl and put pip berries around
it.....But first I need to take care of all the
Christmas decor, which I usually keep up
until after the 1st of January. I didn't
get my Christmas decorating done until
later, because I went out of state....

I need to go through my pictures to find
more to post...

Until next time.....

Sunset Pictures

Hello, everyone....
It looks like you all had a great
Christmas!  Mine was pretty quiet,
just my hubby and I watching
movies, eating and talking to friends
and family on the phone.....

I thought I would show you some
pics I took of the sunset, just a few
days before Christmas....

I took these just a few seconds a part
and you can see that there was more pink
above, in the first picture....My hubby
called me on his way home to tell me,
I bet it was even prettier a little earlier!

Until next time...

Christmas Decorating Part 3

Good Evening Friends!

Well, I got to looking at the
pictures that I posted and I knew
I had more of my decorating to
post, so here goes....

My hutch I painted awhile back.

Big, wonderful Santa that I got in
a swap with my buddy T.J, over
on Prim Pals Forum...I love him!

The Jackson press with two of the houses,
that I got from my friend, Lorna...The
large house is on the fireplace.

I won this wonderful snowman head
nodder from Brenda, over at The
Rusty Thimble!  If you have been to her
blog, you must go and check out all the
wonderful things that she makes! I
bought some gingerbread guys from
her, that I just love!

My big bears, all decked out in their
santa hats....

A couple of my Boyd's ornies on the
dining room table.

I bought this doll from Sandy
of The Olde Country Cupboard,
when I got the Santa, shown in an
earlier post.  Speaking of Sandy, she
sent me some wonderful smelling
tarts and a large bottle of room spray,
that smells good enough to eat, or
drink, I should say, it's called Amish
Quilt....Thanks so much,
Sandy, I love it!

Well, that is it for tonight!
Until next time...

Christmas Decorating Part 2

There will be a part 3,
I just found some more
pictures, that I took earlier,
so be watching for them.

Here are some more pictures
of my decorating, for this year.
These will be the last of them...

As you can tell, I took this picture after
it was getting dark....I was going to put
it on the back of the chair, but my hubby
wanted it on the ugly flag pole holder.

I hope you enjoyed the tour, without a
lot of words....

I have several things to post,

so I will do another post in a few
days, my friends...

My wish is for you all to have a
Merry Christmas and a Happy,
Healthy New Year....And for those
of you, who are out of work, may
you find a great job, soon in the
new year.

This has been a great year, for me
and I am grateful for what I have
been blessed with, and for all my
new friends, that I have made during
my blogging venture!  I am looking
forward to making new friends in the
coming year, plus I am going to start
up a selling blog, soon. I will be
painting and sewing items to sell, so
be watching for that.

I would also like to thank you all
for reading my blog, I do so
appreciate it!

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time~

Christmas Decorating

Hello friends,
I thought I had better get a few
pictures posted of my Christmas
decor before Christmas!
I will have to take a few more
because the one of the fireplace
didn't turn out well and I have
added some new things since I
took some of these pictures.

 Tree next to my hutch

 In the kitchen

 On the hutch
Most of my Prim Pal ornies
are on this tree....
 Over the sink

 My kitchen tree

I loaded these at the same time, so
they are not in order, by kitchen
or living room....I have more to
come.

I have give away winnings to show
you, plus some swap goodies,
treasures from out hunting,
some presents I received
from friends, and some beautiful
sky pictures that I took, recently.

Until next time...

Meet A Bear Monday

Here is my Boyd's bear for
today's Meet a Bear Monday.
His name is
Samuel T. Kringlebear and he is
holding George. He is one of my
favorites, I would have to say....I love
his patriot coat and I keep him out
all year long.  Almost all of my
Christmas bears get packed up, so
they can hibernate until I decorate
for Christmas, so he is a lucky guy,
he doesn't miss a thing!

He is one of my larger bears, at 16"
tall.....Well, it is late and I am going
to head to bed....I hope you all have a
great week.

Christmas Lighting

Good Evening Everyone...

I thought I would share this little
video that I took the other night...

I also took a short one of a ferris wheel,
but the seats didn't blink in order, so it
didn't look like it was going around right.

I hope this works, this is my first try at a
video, on here.

Things I Bought In Kansas

Hello everyone, I hope you all are
staying warm, where ever you are.
I have been behind on my posting, so
I thought I had better get back to it...
I went to Kansas for Thanksgiving and
you all know we have to stop at antique
malls, when we can! Most of the things
on the table came from antique malls,
and the molds came from Goodwill.

The Delmonte can is one of a set that
I have. There are 4 of them and one
has different writing on it, than the rest
of them and I can't remember which one.
I am leaning toward the green beans one.
Well, this one is apricots, so with it being
cheap, I bought it anyway.  I hope it is the
right one!  I think the odd one, has the
name under the fruit, I am not sure.  I will
find out, the next time I go to Texas, again.
Notice how short and fat the middle rolling
pin is!  The smaller one is child's size. I even
found a couple of pieces of gray pottery with
blue paint.

did my decorating for Christmas,
so this is where I put the gingerbread
man and the old black scale. I put some
real greenery in the firkin, after I took
this picture.  This may look odd to you,
because the cabinet is not centered
under the shelf, that is because the pantry
door opens from the left, into the cabinet,
so I need all the room I can get, to get in
there and this cabinet, stops the door
from opening all the way. We just put
pine and cedar around the house, on
Sunday and it is getting dry, already.  I
boiled water on the stove, since then, too.
It helps the air feel warmer and you are
able to breath easier.

Do you all remember the white chippy
chair?  I painted it black and then I dry
brushed red over top and I like the way
it turned out.  I painted the windsor chair,
for my porch, at the same time....I painted
it red and it is now out on the porch, so I
need to take more pictures of my Christmas
decor, before Christmas just flies by!  I also
have more things to share with you that I
bought, over the weekend.....Also, my dishes.
So, it will be Christmas first, then the
goodies and chairs and then my set of dishes,
then any make overs.....I better write this
down, or at least refer to this post!...LOL....

Well, that is all for today, I am going to
make fudge and cream cheese truffles.
Maybe, I will post the recipes for you
all, if you would like them.

Until next time...

Meet A Bear Monday

Hello, blogging buddies...

Now that I have the give away over
with, I thought I would post a bear....
This one I posted last year,
but for those who haven't seen him, he
is Benjamin Santabeary....He is 16"
talk and is dressed in a patriotic suit,
he is a Boyd's bear, of course.

I will be posting some pictures of my trees,
later in the week, also pictures
of some of the goodies that I got in Kansas,
Texas and Arkansas....I was really happy
to find a sugar and creamer to the set of
dishes, that I am collecting. They are Historic
Ports of Call.....Made in England....I will
show you all some pictures of them, soon....

Well, I am going to bed, I have some kind
of crud and I was in bed almost all day.
I have been coughing and hacking for a
couple days, now....Although, I don't feel
really sick or anything, I just sound like it!

I hope you all stay well and warm!

Until next time...
