Friday Unfinishes....

Hello everyone, I hope you all have
a great weekend planned.
I am going to the Fall Festival at
the state park, tomorrow.  It starts
today, but I am waiting for my hubby
to go with me.

I thought I would show you all what I
got sanded on Wednesday.  Here are
my unfinished projects.

It rained yesterday, so I didn't get
anything painted, but maybe this
weekend. The magazine rack is going to
be painted black, the bread box is going
to be red or mustard over black, I think.
The cutting boards, that the bread box is
sitting on, are big one....I might put some
stain on one and leave the other one like
it is.  The thinner one almost covers my
stove top.  I need to find my tack cloth,
to clean all the saw dust off of these things.

I put the wooden tray on top of the old
bucket and it fits pretty good, so I think
I will take the plastic legs off and sand
it up some more and use it for a lid.
What do you think?  Any suggestions on
what color to paint it?  It has holes in the
bottom of it, because it had legs on it, at
one time, for keeping sewing in, I
presume.

Well, that is it for today, I need to get
to the store for some food.

Have a great weekend!

  1. Hi Karen! Thanks so much for stopping by! I'm not sure if I saw your porch or not, but I'll have to scroll back through.

Looks like you've got some great finds and can't wait to see them all painted up!

  3. Hey Karen, I love what you are working on. Can't help with the color as I agonize over everything for myself and have a hard time making up my mind.8-) I have a wall cabinet that I want to paint and can't decide. It did rain enough to put Hubby in the house yesterday and we got some things hung. I'll take pics soon when I get it all finished. Have fun at the craft show, it is cold here...37 degrees!!
    Hugs,

  5. Oh wow! Wish I could get that much accomplished! I know I'll have more time when my youngest is in school all day. I shouldn't want the time rushed, but girl you got me envious!! You've got some great pieces to play with!
