Bad Weather

We have been having a lot of bad

weather, the last couple weeks,

lots of tornadoes.....Last night and

all day today, we had storms, 

tornadoes all over the place, too,

at one point, I got in the closet, 

because the sirens went off.  The

weather alert radio must have 

gone off at least 20 times, during 

the night and today.  Last week,

the South side of town got huge

hail stones.....Here are a couple

of pictures....

 I will be back with some more of 

the goodies I have bought, in the 

last month....

My Helper and Tweeking

Hi everyone, I hate to say it, but I

have been slow in showing you some

of the things that I been buying at 

the flea market, lately....I was

doing some tweaking, that I want

to show you, but first I have to show

you my helper....He likes to help 

with every thing! We were cleaning

out the pantry and making room for

more food and, you guessed it, Chum

had to get in there, right after hubby

wiped the shelf off. Looks like he 

piled a lot on the shelf, above....

Is this for me to sit on?  He wasn't 

much help, but we got it all organized.

Chum likes to be in the middle of every

thing!  If you tell him NO, he gets mad.

He is spoiled.

I got this jar of lemons and strawberries

at a garage sale on the way to Texas...If 

you remember, I had one similar, full of

cookie cutters and I knocked it off the 

counter onto a large crock and broke it....

It is now full of cookie cutters.

I bought this bowl over the weekend,

thinking I would add it to my kitchen

decor, since I am slowly changing over

to sunflowers and crows, and the yellow

bowl would add to it. My hubby said 

he thought that the lemons and 

strawberries would look good in it....

I agree. So, here it is on the top of the

fridge.

I had the cheese box up there, with 

the geraniums in it, so I added the daisies,

the sunflowers and a couple yellow mums

to it....The mums are on the ends.

Then I went to this....I added the coffee

grinder....It needs a couple screws in it

and a knob on the drawer front.

Then I changed the grinder for the 

old scale, I think I like it better, this

way....What do you think?

I have more in the works, I need to

make curtains and cover the seat on 

an old step stool....As you can see in

the pictures of the jar and bowl, I 

have a table runner, with sunflowers,

which I can't keep Chum off of.... 

For some reason, he thinks that  every

thing that comes in the house, is just

for him! Typical cat.....

Well, I have things to get done and 

the day is going by pretty fast!

We had tornadoes, again....They 

went North, South and East of us!

Severe thunder storms, last night

and this morning, too.  I hope you

all will get you a weather alert

radio.....They can save your life!

Great Place For Treasure Hunting

Hey everyone, I hope you all are 

safe from the tornadoes, we had

one near here, the other night

and one took part of the roof off

of a house, Sunday night!  It looks

like it might be a bad Spring! We 

are lucky, though....I feel for those

that have lost loved ones. I would 

like to suggest that you all go out

and buy you a weather alert radio, 

they come with a battery back up

for about $30 and it could save 

your life!  Mine went off 3, or

4 times, the other night. It scares

ya, but it will let you know when 

there is a severe thunderstorm

watch or warning, tornado watch

or warning, even floods. I know

that I do not want to be laying in

bed asleep when a tornado is 

coming!  So, go buy yourself one,

I am glad I did!

Well, the reason that I got on here,

was to show you the pictures of the 

place that we went to, a couple weeks

ago....I intended on posting the 

pictures, before this, but I forgot.

These pictures were taken in just 

one small area of kitchen items.

This one is of just one direction in 

the toy area.  The place was huge!

You had to weave in and out 

between china cabinets, when you

first walked in the door!  I got a 

few spice tins at this place and I

am going to go back, that is for sure!

I will show you on another post the 

things that I have gotten at the flea

market and other places, soon.

Check out the picture with the toys,

see the doll on the left, with the 

maroon dress and the white hat? 

I got that same doll for Christmas

one year, I wish I still had her. I 

didn't even see her, until I looked

at the picture, on the computer.

Next time I go in, if she is still there,

I am going to see how much they 

are asking for her, I am not going

to buy her, I am just curious. You 

would not believe all the stuff in 

that place, you could be in there 

for a long time, checking it out!

We were going to go to the flea

market this weekend, but it was

cold this morning and a little windy,

so we decided to stay home.  We 

did walk to a little one, near our 

house and I got a white platter and

a yellow bowl.....I will show you 

what I did with the bowl on my 

next post.

Texas Wildflowers

Hey friends, you know it is Spring

when you see the Bluebonnets in 

bloom, in Texas!  I just love these 

flowers! It was so windy that I had

a hard time taking pictures of the

flowers, they kept moving! The petals

on these look like prairie bonnets.

These are called Indian Paintbrushes...

This one is a little fuzzy, we are just 
cruising down the road! Seems like 
every time I wanted to take a picture, 
we would hit a bump.....Just my luck.
Well, this is for you all, that still have
cold and snow!  It won't be long and 
everyone will be able to see green on
the trees. But, I have to tell ya that,
it was hot!

My New Firkin!

Hey friends, I just wanted to pop on 

here and show you all my new

treasure!  I got this firkin over the

weekend, which is painted with 

folkart.....I just love it!

I also got this topper, that it is sitting 

on. We went to Texas and hit a 

bunch of sales, on the way. I got quite 

bit of goodies, that I will show you all 

a little later.  Now, I need to clean

my house, it looks like a small bomb 

went off, for all the stuff we brought 

back, is sitting around.....Or maybe

I will paint something to put on my

selling blog....

I hope you all are warming up, it was 

around 90, this weekend and that is 

too hot for April!

My Selling Blog Opens On Monday!
