Things I Bought In Kansas

Hello everyone, I hope you all are
staying warm, where ever you are.
I have been behind on my posting, so
I thought I had better get back to it...
I went to Kansas for Thanksgiving and
you all know we have to stop at antique
malls, when we can! Most of the things
on the table came from antique malls,
and the molds came from Goodwill.

The Delmonte can is one of a set that
I have. There are 4 of them and one
has different writing on it, than the rest
of them and I can't remember which one.
I am leaning toward the green beans one.
Well, this one is apricots, so with it being
cheap, I bought it anyway.  I hope it is the
right one!  I think the odd one, has the
name under the fruit, I am not sure.  I will
find out, the next time I go to Texas, again.
Notice how short and fat the middle rolling
pin is!  The smaller one is child's size. I even
found a couple of pieces of gray pottery with
blue paint.

did my decorating for Christmas,
so this is where I put the gingerbread
man and the old black scale. I put some
real greenery in the firkin, after I took
this picture.  This may look odd to you,
because the cabinet is not centered
under the shelf, that is because the pantry
door opens from the left, into the cabinet,
so I need all the room I can get, to get in
there and this cabinet, stops the door
from opening all the way. We just put
pine and cedar around the house, on
Sunday and it is getting dry, already.  I
boiled water on the stove, since then, too.
It helps the air feel warmer and you are
able to breath easier.

Do you all remember the white chippy
chair?  I painted it black and then I dry
brushed red over top and I like the way
it turned out.  I painted the windsor chair,
for my porch, at the same time....I painted
it red and it is now out on the porch, so I
need to take more pictures of my Christmas
decor, before Christmas just flies by!  I also
have more things to share with you that I
bought, over the weekend.....Also, my dishes.
So, it will be Christmas first, then the
goodies and chairs and then my set of dishes,
then any make overs.....I better write this
down, or at least refer to this post!...LOL....

Well, that is all for today, I am going to
make fudge and cream cheese truffles.
Maybe, I will post the recipes for you
all, if you would like them.

Until next time...

  4. Hey Karen, love all the new goodies!! The little rolling pin is adorable!! I am going to have to call it quits on the decorating and start cooking for my family. They are going to think I don't love them if I don't get some "goodie cookies" made pretty soon. I think I'll be going to East Texas in February, I'll send you an email with details.
    Hugs,
    Lorna
