Goodies In The Mail

Hello everyone, I hope your week 

is off to a great start, I know it is for

me!  I made a comment on Linda

Parker's blog the other day about 

her Easter eggs and she asked for 

my address, to send me some. Well,

she not only sent me some eggs, but

she sent me a box full of wonderful

things!!!  I was so surprised when I

opened the box!

Here is what all was in the box....Four

ditty bags, of different colors and 

designs. I am working to change 

my kitchen over to sunflowers and 

crows and this sunflower seed bag, 

will be perfect!  She sent me a 

cute wooden bowl full of her 

wonderful eggs, 2 tea stained stars 

and several note cards, 

that I can use to put in packages,

to my friends.  She tucked in a 

wonderful card, with a bear on it, that 

she wrote a note to me, inside!   A bear, 

how appropriate, for this bear lover!

week, wonderful things, that she finds 
at thrift stores, auctions and yard sales, 
plus what she makes over.  Go on over 
and tell her, Karen sent ya. I can't

Linda you are a thoughtful sweetheart!

I know that I am not the only one

that Linda has sent things to, just to

make their day, she is so generous 

and I am glad to have gotten to know 

her and call her my friend!

I have some things to share with you

all, that I got over the weekend, so be

Beautiful Trees!

 Hey everyone, Spring has sprung in 

my area!  I took these pictures a 

couple weeks ago, now the trees are

green. I wish the flowering trees

would stay that way, until Autumn.

Wouldn't that be lovely?  It has been

rather warm here, for March, it is too 

early for me to be around 80 degrees.

This is a closer picture of one of them 

in the picture, below....They go all 

along the front of the property,

and a long the property on the side

street. I am really surprised that a

tree trimming company hasn't come

 a long and cut them, because they 

have grown up through the wires.

I was going to go around to take 

pictures of the Forsythia and the

Tulip trees, but I didn't get it done, so

this is all I have for this year....Well, 

it beats snow pictures!  Sorry, to my 

blogging friends, up North!  I guess you

will have to move South if you want 

better Winters!

More Baskets

Hey everyone, I hope you all

are having a great weekend! We

went to an auction, this morning

and got some things...I got a big

wash pan!....I need to clean it up,

then I can hang it in the laundry

room....I have some others, that 

we hung up recently, so I will take

a picture of all the goodies in there,

one of these days and post it.

Now to the title post....I found a 

couple baskets in the area, between

the cubbies full of books and the 

couch....I forgot about these when

I was taking pictures of the others.

 This isn't the greatest picture, I 

took it, after dark.

I got the one with the pine cones at

the flea market a year or so, ago and

the grapevine basket, I have had for a 

lot of years....I did have some magazines

in it, but I took them out, because Chum

would get under some of them and just

rock and roll! He is such a crazy

cat!  I have some pictures of him in it,

having fun.

I hope you all are having warmer temps

and lots of sunshine!  It said it was 83 deg.

when I called time and temperature....I 

hope it doesn't stay that warm, I like the

70's so much better.

Barn Charm

Hi, All....

I was doing some blog hopping and 
I came across a blog that is having 
a link party about, Barn Charm....
I didn't link up, but I thought I 
would post a couple of pictures of
barns, that I took up 

in Michigan....There are so many 

beautiful barns up there, that I 

want to go hunting for them, every time 
I go up there!

You rarely see a wooden barn in Texas,

they are mostly lost to termites.....So

sad to see such beauties being lost. I

didn't grow up on a farm, so I don't 

know why I love barns so much, but I

really appreciate them, now!

Hires Mug and Tray

Hey everyone, I thought I would 

share with you all, the Hires mug

that my hubby got quite awhile ago,

and the tray I bought, the last time I 

went back to Texas....That was when 

I met up with Lorna.

I think the tray is old and we were told,

that the mug, is really old.  It does have

a handle on it, you just can't see it. Most

mugs or cups, have the writing, facing 

you when you hold the mug, but not this

one, it is opposite the handle.

I have some other things to show you,

but it will have to wait, I haven't 

taken pictures of it all, for it's packed

up....Maybe, next time and I want to 

show you some more of my collections.
