Christmas Decorating

I wanted to show you all the little
bit of Christmas decorating that
I did.....I have been Scrooge the
all month! Usually when I get
this way, it doesn't last this long!
Anyway, my spirits have lifted,
with a little help from blogging
friends and my Sister!

Here's Chum!  (Sound familiar?)
Bah Humbug, I'm not wearing
this hat and you can't make me!
It is only going to be on here one
more second! And that is all it was
on his head! Chum thinks his Mom
is nuts for trying to put a hat on
him!

 And she probably is!

I would like to thank some blogging
friends for thinking of me and sending
me these wonderful Christmas cards!
I usually send out cards, but not this
year.....I know, Bah Humbug! Anyway,
they are from Tonya of My Primitive
Creations By Tonya, Gina of Catnap Inn
and Teresa of Deppenhomestead...
Thanks so much ladies, you sure lifted
my spirits!

I got out my gingers and I don't
have all that many...Guess I need
to shop for some, for next year!

Close up of the ornie in with the
gingers, from Brenda of
The Rusty Thimble, last year.

This ginger is from Brenda, this year.
I sent her a box of graters and a sifter
and she sent me gingers! I love them,
thanks again, Brenda!

In the picture, above you can see
beeswax gingers from Sandy of the
Olde Country Cupboard and another
ginger from Brenda on a grater. Plus
that big gingerbread man I won
from Grandma Kringle's giveaway.
I love him, too!...Thanks again,
Grandma!

Here's my little tree in the kitchen.
I got the little mason jars from
Samantha's Accessories.

 I decorate my mantel different,
every year and this year it has
Santas....

My new tree....I love this
skinny tree, it is like my 3 ft.
one, that I didn't put up, but
it is 6 ft. tall.

Well, I would like to let you all
know how much I have enjoyed
reading your blogs and getting
to know all better....Blogging
friends are the best! I hope you
all have a Merry Christmas and
a Happy New Year!

  4. Merry Christmas Karen. I didn't get my cards sent this year either. Your decorations look very festive and I don't think anyone who sees it will think you are Ba Humbug!

  7. Aww Karen, you're not a scrooge. Maybe just a lil Christmas Blue. Me too, but hey, this too will pass. So rely on your blog friends to cheer you up, like I'm trying to right now... LOL.
Chum... I love that name. Now is that Chum as in shark bait or as in a good pal. LOL... I think I know the answer to that.
Now turn that frown upside down 'cause you never know who might be fallin' in love with your smile :o)
    Hugs and Happy Holidays!

  9. Ohh Bah Humbug's go away come again another day!!! I remember being a Ba Humbug one year because all I wanted for Christmas was clothes. I was probably about 16. ALL I got in the line of clothes was the most ugly purple sweat suit with a yellow stripe down the side. I really have no clue WHAT my Mom had been thinking. EVEN if this was back in 1981, lol..it was STILL ugly. And it completely ruined Christmas for me!!! It makes me giggle now...and if I ever saw that sweat suit again..I'd buy it...and wear it...to Christmas!!! Merry Christmas Karen!

  16. Chum's expression really cracks me up!

I just love your kitchen makeover! I know I already told you once but I was looking at it in these pictures and I just love all that you guys did.

Thank goodness for our prim friends to keep us sane, right? I'm glad they helped you get in the spirit! That's very sweet.

I have a little ginger tree in my kitchen too! I also have cutters and little utensils on my holiday tree in the dining room. That was fun to decorate. I loved looking at all your wonderful Christmas decorating!

I hope you had a great Christmas and enjoy bringing the new year in~
