Prims At The Fall Festival!

Hey everyone, prims have made

it to Oklahoma!  I went to the 

festival, just before heading for

Texas, recently and I could not

believe that they had someone 

with a lot of prim goodies! 

I have lots of pictures of the 

festival, of women spinning

wool, soap making, blacksmith,

people playing dulcimers, etc,

but I am going to show you 

them, in 3 posts....I thought I

would just show you this 

wonderful booth, first....I 

should have taken more, but

I got most of it. She had some

wonderful things and she came

all the way from Kansas.
 She said I could take all the 

pictures I wanted, which was so

nice of her, vendors don't always

want you to take pictures, they 

are afraid you are going to copy 

them.

She had lots of gingers and Santas...

The back wall in her booth....Lots of

witches, crows, bats and JOLs.... 

 I don't have a picture of what I bought,

but I bought a crow and mittens, made

from a red and white quilt, that are so

cute!....I will show you all, later.

I have been busy, we went to Texas 

and sorted and sorted stuff to bring

back, to sell at the flea market. I got 

it all marked and packed and we went

on Saturday. It wasn't that great, but 

we did sell some of it....I have been 

working on the kitchen....The 

weather is not great for painting,

but I am plugging away....I might

get it done, this year!....I need to

get some trim, so I am going to do

that, tomorrow when I take the 

cats to the vet for their boosters.

Tomorrow, I am going to make 

fudge......Chocolate, with nuts

and a batch of peanut butter, also!

Mmmmmm....I need to get back 

to work on the kitchen!

soon and hopefully some things

on my selling blog.

If You Can't Be Anything Else, At Least Be This!

Hey everyone, I just had to save

a picture of this on a comment 

page....

Well, time is just flying by and

I have been down to Texas 2 times,

lately.....Week before last, I went 

down on Tuesday and came back 

on Friday and I thought I might 

get the kitchen finished, but it was

either rainy or colder than I wantd

to have the windows open to finish

the painting I need to do....Then,

last Friday, hubby and I went down

to do some work at our house....

I sorted and sorted things and we

brought back several totes of stuff

to sell....He unloaded it tonight 

now I need to go through all that....

Now I am wishing that we had left

it all down there!

I got some goodies in the mail, 

that I will show you, soon, but my

next post will be about the Fall

Festival, that I went to, just before

we left. Prims have come to 

Oklahoma!

I guess I better get off to bed,

Whole Lot A Shakin' Going On!

Hey everyone, l have to say that 

I felt my first earthquake on 

Saturday night!  I first thought

that my hubby was shaking my

chair, because he was leaning

on the back of it, but he said 

wasn't doing it and then the 

floor lamp was shaking, too. I 

told him I thought we were 

having an earthquake and then

I could hear the house making 

a creaking noise......Our house

is brick and on a cement slab and

I am glad that we don't live close

to where the center was! Yup,it

was a 5.6....Earlier in the day, 

there was a 4.7, but we didn't 

feel that one. I heard on tv that 

you have to have an 

earthquake rider on your home 

owners insurance, or it won't pay

for damages.....I think I will give 

them a call to find out.....I can tell

ya one thing, I am not moving to 

California!

I was down to Texas, last week 

so I didn't get the kitchen 

finished, but I should be able to 

get it all done, this week, if the

weather is good, it is supposed 

to rain for the next couple days.

Well, I have other things to do, 

so I better get with it.

Wonderful Wildlife

Hello, blogging buddies....

I was out taking pictures, the 

other day and I thought you just

might enjoy seeing the 

wonderful awesome carved

animals in downtown Broken

Bow, OK....They have been 

redoing all the sidewalks and 

putting in wheel chair ramps 

and raised flower beds, with these 

wonderful carved statues of

wildlife....I have seen a smaller

 bear holding a "Welcome"

sign, that I just might have to

buy to put on my front porch.

I had to get two views of this eagle!

Isn't this little one cute?

 Love this turkey!

There's even a fish! 

I do believe this one is a hawk.

These last two must be the

latest, because they don't have

and flowers in their beds....I 

love the owls...

This beaver is so cute with 

his buck teeth!  There are still 

some empty beds, so I imagine

there are more to come.

I hope you enjoyed the tour 

and the wildlife!

I have been working on the rest

of the kitchen cabinet doors 

and the drawers

and I think I see light at the

end of the tunnel!  A few more

days and I will have them all 

done and the trim all done!

My hubby has some more to 

do, before I can finish it all...

I need to make curtains and

also a Halloween costume for

the contest that they have, 

where he works.....

Well, it is late and I better 

get to bed, I have lots to do

tomorrow.

Also, I won the gingerbread man

over at Grandma Kringles! I was

so tickled, I was going to buy one,

because I didn't think I would win 

it and I like to decorate my 

kitchen

with gingerbread men for 

Christmas. It sure made my day!

Thanks again, Grandma Kringle,

I can't wait to get him!

Besides working on the kitchen 

and some of the dining room, I 

have been walking and let me tell

ya that my legs are telling me to

slow down!......I was out working

in a flower bed this afternoon, so

that might help stretch the 

muscles in my legs, they sure 

are getting tight....

Fall Decorating and Wonderful Gift in the Mail

I hope you all are having a

great weekend. I have gotten

a little Fall decorating done 

and thought I would share it 

with you.

 This picture doesn't look very clear,

but you can see what I did in front

of the house.....I usually put the 

scarecrow  on the porch, but I  think

I like him out in the yard, you can 

see him better.  The shrubs hide him 

too much when he's on the porch.

 I got a package in the mail,

from Traci of York Mountain

Primitives and in it was this 

adorable little Jack-O-Lantern,

wearing a witches hat!

Traci sent everyone something

handmade, that left a comment

on her blog, one day.  I didn't

know it, until after I had left

 my comment that she was doing

that, what a wonderful surprise,

it was!  I love it Traci, that was

really sweet of you! Stop on over

Now, I need to do some Fall

decorating in the house....I 

still have lots of stuff all over 

the house, because of the work

in the kitchen and dining area.

I better get back to work on

some things for the kitchen and

then tomorrow, I am going to 

get back to work on the rest of

the doors, my one week break 

ended up being 3 wks.....week 

days only, I still have been 

working on the kitchen on the

weekends......This project has

been a lot of work, but will be

so worth it, when it is done.
