Hello, pussy cat lovers! 

Chumlee, here!  I came to live with a

new Mommy and Daddy and boy am

I having fun!  I have been getting into

all kinds of things!  Monday was a day

of being entertained!  Momma says she

forgot how much attention a little kitty

needs!  Yesterday, I got on some of the

things in Momma's computer/craft room,

and it tipped over on me. It is a wonder I

didn't get killed with that basket full of

goodies and a HUGE wooden bowl!  I

made a dash for the laundry room and

tried to stay out of trouble for awhile.

After that, I returned to the room to be

with my new Momma, and I was good for

hours, I just laid on the other chair on a

 pillow!  I napped and played with my new

fish.....I can be good, but it's more fun to

into all the goodies around here!  I will

keep ya posted on my adventures....

I know, my new Momma loves bears, but

she loves kitties, too!  She has missed her

big kitty, Bucky for over 2 years, since he

went missin'.......So, I must be special, since

she brought me home to live with her!

Ok, I think it is time for a nap....

Meet a Bear Monday

Good Evening Bear Lovers!

I just about missed my "Meet A 

Bear Monday"....Well, by the time this

posted it was after midnight, so I did

miss it....Sorry, it is late!

Tonight I am sharing with you,

"Dolly M. Bearsevelt"...

She is a Boyd's bear and was an

exclusive to the Boyd's Bear Barn, so

you couldn't buy her from dealers.

Dolly is all dressed for the 4th of July

in her navy dress with white stars and

red trim.  She has her white sweater on,

with a flag and her straw hat adorned

with carnations. Also, she can't forget her

flag, every patriotic gal needs to make

sure she has one on the 4th, to show her

patriotism!

She is one of my larger bears at

16" tall.

Well, this has been quite a day, I have

been entertaining a new kitten we

 brought home from Texas, over the

weekend.  He was into things, running

here and there, meowing at the top of

his lungs, if you left him in a room alone!

He was having a party in my craft/sewing

room, getting into things, tipping things

over, stepping on the keyboard as I tried

to type e-mails, or chat!  I forgot how

much attention a little one needs! If he

wasn't in my face, he was on my shoulder,

licking my ear!  I'll show ya Chumlee,

some time this week.....He is a handful,

and fast!  I am used to an old cat that

doesn't bother anything!

I got a box full of wonderful stuff from

my good friend, Gina of Cat Nap Inn

Primitives, we did a swap.....I will show

you all that, soon.

I better get to bed so I can be ready for

another day of babysitting!

New Bear

Hello Bear Lovers!  I just had to

get on here to show you what I got

in the mail today!  My hubby brought

her in, when he came home from work.

She was sitting out on the porch all

day long, and I didn't even know it!

She is a Jim Shore bear for Boyds.

My son got her for me before Mother's

Day, but he didn't send her because I

wasn't here and he was afraid she

would be out on the porch, getting wet.

Then he started a new job and wasn't

able to get to the post office to send her

out until a few days ago.  Well, she is

worth the wait!  A big hug and kiss

to my son!  I love her!

On her tag, it says...

"America The Beautiful"

Very fitting, I would say!

Meet a Bear Monday

Hello Bear Lovers....

It is time to meet another bear.

Today I have a cute little Boyd's

Bear,  named Maddison Bearyproud,

and she is an exclusive from Cracker

Barrel.

She looks as cute as can be, in her

patriotic dress, with two layers, the

underneath in red, with stars and the

overlay, navy with bigger stars.  You

can't see it in the picture, but where

her dress is pulled up, (under where the

bow is),  there is a little blue tag. On

that, it says "LIBEARTY".....She is 

10" tall and has a bow in her hair to

match her dress.  I hope you enjoy 

seeing my patriotic bears...

Hello Everyone....

I forgot to post a picture, or

a tip for Thursday....Well, I wanted

to show you all this cute cross stitch

picture I got from Christine of Sticks,

Stitches~N~Boards, last month...It is a

basket full of bittersweet with a flag

and a crow.  I think it looks good in the

bath, what do you all think? She just

started a  Sale, so go on over to see

what she has.

Treasures I Found

Hello, Prim Pals.....I told one of

my buddies that I would post all

the great stuff I bought over the

last couple weekends, so here goes.

All the items in the first picture were

bought in antique malls, except for

the 4 things in the back of the picture,

they were found at a GW store.  The

wooden bowl has a winter scene, which

I am going to paint over.  I want my

hubby to make me a bowl rack, so I

should have plenty to put in it by the

time he makes it. I got the cute little

pineapple lamp for $2.99, plus the

shade was $1.99.....The magazine rack

on the right side of the picture was a

steal, at $1, I am going to paint it black

and hang it on the wall in the bath, below

the cabinet full of tins.  The candle stick,

next to it has a wonderul design on it, it's

not pewter, but looks like it is....

I got all the stuff in the picture, below at

one garage sale, except for the bread box!

The milking stool has a handle on it and it

was made in Yugoslavia, and has a nice

finish on it.

You can see that I got them all cheap!

I couldn't find a date on this Nabisco

tin, but I think it is very old.

I found this cookie keeper, weekend

before last, at a fleamarket....I am going

to paint it, what color, I don't know...

I also got these at the same fleamarket...

I have a spoon rack for some of the spoons,

I didn't want only 2 or 3 of them and he said

take them all for $2....So, I did.  I am going

to make a shoo fly screen out of the strainer

and I put the pitcher with the bluebonnets,

on the shelf above the french doors.  I will

have to show you all a picture of that later

on. I decided that this is it for the summer

for hitting the antique malls, it is too hot in

them, this time of year.  I might go to the

little fleamarket, a couple times, but that

will be all....Can you have too much stuff???

Yes, you can, I have proof!  I don't go

gamble, bowling, play bingo or anything

like that, I like to go hunting for treasures!

I figure that I have something for my money

and I can sell it somewhere down the road,

if I get tired of dusting it!  That's my story,

and I am sticking to it!

Well, I need to figure out what I am going

to do with all this stuff, so that is it for

today.....I hope you all are staying cool!

Meet a Bear Monday

Hello Bear Lovers...

I almost forgot that this is

Monday....I have been busy

working in the yard today

crafting.  The time has just

flown by this weekend.  On

to Meet a Bear Monday,

tonight I would like for you to

meet one of my patriotic Boyd's

bears, "Libearty C. Star"...

She is 10" tall and is dressed in

a navy blue romper with stars.

Across the bodice of her romper

are 3 embroidered red stars.

She is also wearing a hair bow with

a button, that matches her outfit.

What a wonderful outfit to wear,

out to play, on Memorial Day! 

I hope you all had a great time

this weekend....

I went to some antique malls and

found a lot of great stuff, that I

will share with you, next time.

I want to wish you all a

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Let's take the time to honor those 

fallen soldiers, who served in our military,

and so bravely fought for our freedom.

Go put a flag on a soldier's grave....I wish

I could put one on my Dad's grave, but I

am just too far away.

What Ya Working On Wednesday

Hello everyone, I have been puttering

around with some of the things I have

gotten and I can't decide which way

I want to display this candle and

wreath that I won from American

Girl Primitives....

In this wooden bowl I got the other day,

Or in this retangle thing....I have to

tell ya that this candle smells so good!

So, what do you think?  I was thinking

maybe a smaller brown bowl, might look

better and I think I have just the thing.

I found it and I put it on this little stool

that I bought, Monday....I don't know if

I like it, I think the stool is a little tall

for being on the table, what do ya all

think?  I think I will put the stool some

where else and leave the bowl on the

table top....I put the little bird nest, that

came with the candle and wreath, on

my old kitchen scale that I showed you

all, awhile back.  I have more treasures

to show you next time.  I was going to

mention to my hubby that we need to

quit buying stuff, since we have so much.

Shhhh, don't tell him that I said that,

he wants to go to one of my favorite

antique malls, this weekend!

Meet a Bear Monday

Good Evening Bear Lovers...

It's time for "Meet a Bear Monday"

I will be showing patriotic bears for

the next several weeks, so if you like

the good ole red, white, and blue, then

you are in for a treat.   Tonight I have

a 20" Bailey to show you all, she is a

display bear for shops.  I don't know if

all the shops were able to have her, or

not.  Anyway, she is wearing a cream 

colored, knitted hat with a big red bow

with gold stars on her head which 

matches her blouse. Under her little navy

 blue jumper, she is wearing an underskirt

with white lace trim along the hemline.

Bailey is very patriotic, she loves to carry

a flag to the Memorial Day festivities! 

She even has stars on her navy blue

bloomers!  She is made with armeture in

 her arms and legs, that make them

poseable.

I have this same Bailey in a small size,

which she usually is, 8" and her beau,

Edmund.  I have a lot of patriotic ones,

so come back again for a peek.

I found the neatest little stool at an

antique mall, today.....I will post it soon,

along with some treasures I found at the

fleamarket over the weekend.
